THE FACTORY
The history of Rey Footwear Corp. dates back to 2015 in the village of Shahpur Jat, New Delhi, when Shrey Gupta started producing bespoke shoes for a discerning client base. It used to be a small workshop with a handful of craftsmen constructing Norwegian and Hand-welted shoes. His work was soon appreciated by the elite with many requesting him to produce a footwear line for their ambitious private labelled projects for Indian and International markets.
What started as a small bespoke project, converted into a micro industrial workshop manufacturing shoes for multiple brands. In 2021, the factory shifted its base to Noida, employing Italian machinery and greater use of technology whilst sticking to the fundamental values of producing artisanal footwear.
Footwear production has evolved considerably over the years due to advancement in technology and over commercialization leading to a higher involvement of machines and some compromise with artisanal methods of shoe making. Despite of this shift, human hands will always be involved. We, at Rey Footwear, strive to employ the most skilled craftsmen and thus produce quality shoes following classic constructions and age old methods using technology wherever necessary without any compromise.
